On October 24-25, 2024, the SMARTChain project, funded with €4.9 million by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe Framework Program for Research and Innovation (grant agreement no. 101178919), held its kick-off meeting at the RINA Consulting – Centro Sviluppo Materiali S.p.A. facilities in Rome, Italy (Via di Castel Romano, 100).

During the meeting, the project was introduced with an in-depth presentation of its concept, objectives, and key aspects. Attendees were given an overview of the project’s goals, along with the roles and contributions of the participating organizations. Each partner provided a general introduction to their entity, emphasizing their specific involvement and interest in the SMARTChain project.

A thorough presentation of the work packages (WPs) was also shared, outlining the objectives, tasks, and planned activities for each WP, as well as the expected contributions from each partner throughout the project’s duration. The kick-off meeting set the stage for collaboration and detailed planning as the partners progress with the implementation of SMARTChain.
